Arup
Arup’s Americas team comprises over 80 P3 consultants,
economists, and financial analysts, supported by another
120 advisors in Europe and across the world. Its work has
included the trailblazing Potrero Yard Modernization P3, where
it helped shape the transit-oriented development. Arup helped
structure and shape the project’s procurement strategy to resolve
complementary but very different requirements to finance the
project’s components based on how each is paid for: the public
authority will own the new bus facility and will make payments
to the public infrastructure developer, whereas housing residents
will pay rents to the private housing developer. Meanwhile,
Arup’s work on the San Jose Airport Connector project has seen
it develop a comprehensive business case analysis of the use
of emerging automated transit network technologies. The firm
supported the procurement of the project and if successful, will
help the city to grow the project into a much larger system to
carry people across San Jose and neighboring cities without
interruptions from traffic.
